The ease of construction is what I find to be most amazing. The instructions only contain photos; I'm not a very good visual learner. But once you get the hang of it, putting it together is simple. Even this tiny ratcheting screwdriver is provided as assistance. Assembly shouldn't be difficult because all of the pieces are labeled in an understandable way. It's a good thing that the product comes with extra screws and parts in case you lose some of them. For the price, the bed appears to be quite durable. Do I anticipate the bed frame lasting 30 years and serving as an heirloom for my grandchildren? No, I don't believe it to be that durable. However, there is very little flex throughout the frame and the bed feels extremely substantial as long as the screws are sufficiently tightened. Engineered boards manufactured from genuine wood are used to construct the parts. Despite this, it is not flawless. First of all, sitting upright and resting your neck against the headboard is uncomfortable due to the headboard's shape. If you intend to sit up in bed, you'll need some cushions behind your neck and back. To prevent the mattress from moving, the slats are also taped on both sides. After a year or two, the tape will stop working because of wear and tear. The mattress can then slide quite a bit after that. Last but not least, the bed can slide quite a bit, at least on hardwood. However, you won't have to worry about slipping if you use some square rubber furniture cups.
