My daughter is one years old and likes to sleep up against something. Nearly every morning I’ll find her against the mesh of the bed rail, but never stuck in it. I purchased two, have her bed in a corner so two walls flank the sides of her bed and added a couple of Velcro straps to further secure the rails to her bed frame (she has a head and foot board). The rails are working really well! She loves having all the space and I know she can’t get out with the height of the rails (she’s very tall for her age). It’s very easy to bring the mesh up and down with the button releases to get in and out of her bed or change the sheets.Of note is that her bed frame is metal and she does not have a solid head and footboard so it was very easy to anchor the rails with the Velcro straps. One rail goes at her footboard side and the other is the only barricade to keep her in the bed.We got 2 side rails for a wooden twin bunk bed in our daughter's room. Our toddler (about 18 months old) was going to be moving into her sister's room who has a wooden bunk bed with wooden drawer stairs on one side. There were 2 exposed sides so we bought two rails. We measured and bought the appropriate size but couldn't both rails to fit and connect in the bottom bunk. It may work better on a free standing bed. We ended up just using one, and it works very well. My husband secured it to the slats, which required moving the slats and was also a bit difficult. We have been using the rail for about 4 months now and it has kept our little one safe and secure. It is easy to get her in and out (even our 9 year old can get her in and out by herself).Easy to install, but my baby is shaking it and looks unreliable. maybe it's safer to set three sides. and they are too expensiveIts a good idea, only thing i dnt care for is if you use it with a bed frame its hard to keep all the sides connected together at the corners.. but other than that i like itThe rails themselves were pretty easy to assemble but once finished they were not as sturdy as I would think they would be even by themselves and that was the first red flag. I had to watch a video on how to install because the instructions don't really include that part. No video really shows how to use the ropes if you don't have a full base to screw the bottom of the rails onto. Had to use zip ties to hold them onto the spring box because even with the ropes they were still very flimsy. I suggest buying all 4 sides as well to connect them all the way around otherwise it's a pain still to keep them up.The product itself is good quality but… the point of the product is to be for safety. It’s super wobbly no matter how I position it and fix it on the bed. It comes with straps also but they don’t help. The only way I could see to fix it is if you bought all four sides. I’m not willing to do that.We were able to skip the crib and use the twin bed! Easy to install and super sturdy.This is a great product! Very happy.
